Vancouver Island in BC

Vancouver Island BC - Pacific Rim National Park

Vancouver Island is British Columbia’s last wild frontier.

Just 2 ½ hours from Vancouver by car and ferry, the island is a favourite get-away for Vancouverites.

The historic capital city of Victoria, old logging towns, quaint seaside villages and gritty sea ports dot the busier south and east coasts.

Head north or west coast into Vancouver Island’s interior and it will feel like you have the wilderness to yourself.

With the world famous West Coast Trail, surfing in the Pacific Rim National Park, a couple of ski hills, hundreds of sheltered coves and bays for kayaking and some of the best dive sites in British Columbia, Vancouver Island is a genuine four-season adventure destination.

If you want to take it easy you can explore Vancouver Island’s First Nation history and culture, the Cowichan wine region, remote fishing lodges, championship golf courses or simply put your feet up at one of the island’s many luxury spa resorts.
