Wreck Beach in Vancouver BC

Wreck beach - clothing optional signWreck Beach is not just a beach, it’s bona fide Vancouver institution. As Vancouver’s only clothing optional beach, it’s the place to go to find love, peace, acceptance and a multi-coloured sarong.

Situated at the bottom of hundreds of steep steps at the end of Trail 6 in Pacific Spirit Regional Park, Wreck Beach seems a million miles removed from Vancouver central.

Happy naturists sun bathe, families picnic and students party while amateur musicians jam in the sun. Clothed and naked vendors sell exotic and everyday food, crafts, crystals, clothes, beach sheets and more. Massage, henna tattoos and tarot card readings are among the services on offer.

Once you’ve got used to the naked bodies, adjusted to the vibe and eaten your Alligator burger, take a moment to admire the views of Vancouver and miles and miles of wilderness beach bordered by 200ft cliffs and evergreens.
