Vancouver Aquarium

Beluga whale - Vancouver BC

Tucked away in Stanley Park is Vancouver Aquarium, the largest science marine park in Canada. Education is as important as entertainment here and you can read about the aquarium’s conservation and research efforts as well as gawk at the critters.

Cute baby belugas and leaping dolphins may get the biggest oohs and ahhs but the most fascinating exhibits are the huge Pacific Canada Pavilion and the Treasures of the BC gallery which highlight the surprisingly diverse and colourful marine life of BC waters. Other exhibits feature sharks, sea otters, jellies, tropical fish and creatures of the Amazon.

It’s a well-respected aquarium and is a great family day out.
